About Washington's Tab

Washington's Tab was built by an Arizona taxpayer who got tired of watching the federal government spend money it doesn't have on programs Americans never voted for — and never being able to explain just how much it was actually costing them personally.

Every number on this site comes from official US government data. We don't editorialize the figures — we just make them personal. When you see a dollar amount tick upward in real time, that's not an estimate. That's your share of what Congress has already spent, calculated from publicly available Treasury and federal spending records.

Washington's Tab is independent. We are not affiliated with any political party, campaign, or organization. We believe every taxpayer — regardless of party — deserves to know exactly what their government is charging them.
